India – Maldives Business Forum concludes in Mumbai

The second consecutive edition of the India-Maldives Business Forum was held in the financial and entertainment hub of India – the bustling city of Mumbai on 3rd August, Wednesday.

Attended by the President of Maldives, His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih along with a high-level delegation consisting of cabinet ministers and business representatives, the forum brought together prominent entrepreneurs of India and Maldives and held interactive dialogues between the CEOs and Cabinet Ministers of the Government.

Minister of Finance, His Excellency Ibrahim Ameer delivered a keynote address in this forum, highlighting the impressive recovery of Maldives from the Covid-19 pandemic and the current growth trajectory of the Maldives observing positive economic outcomes.

Minister of Economic Development, His Excellency Fayyaz Ismail; Minister of Finance, His Excellency Ibrahim Ameer; and Minister of Gender, Family & Social Services, Her Excellency Aishath Mohamed Didi engaged in a Q&A session and answered questions raised by participants at the forum.

The forum was hosted by the Confederation of the Indian Industry as part of the four – day visit to India by the President of Maldives upon an invitation extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
